Watts Live for Home Assistant
A custom Home Assistant integration for the Watts Live energy meter. It listens to the meter over MQTT and exposes power, voltage, current and energy as native Home Assistant sensors — no polling, no cloud service, no scraping a vendor API.
The sensors are grouped under a single device entity, so your meter shows up in Home Assistant the way a first-party integration would, and the energy sensors feed straight into the Energy Dashboard.
It's written in Python, installs through HACS as a custom repository, and is MIT licensed.
Key Features
- MQTT-driven sensors that update in real time as the meter publishes.
- Three-phase support for current, voltage and power.
- Grouped under one device entity rather than scattered across your entity list.
- Energy Dashboard compatible, so consumption tracking works out of the box.
Requirements
- Home Assistant with the MQTT integration configured and a broker running.
- A Watts Live device publishing to
watts/<serial_number>/measurement— you can set that up with Watts Live MQTT BLE Config. - Installed via HACS as a custom repository, or by copying it into
custom_components.
